The Ontario Insect Fair

The Ontario Insect Fair is being held in conjunction with the Ontario Reptile Expo in Mississauga, Ontario.

Two great shows all under one roof and all under one admission fee. A great day for all Insect and Reptile lovers. A special event to take the family to.

The Insect Fair is an event which allows individuals that have the same enthusiasm and passion for the study of insects to gather under one roof to meet and share in a unique event. It is a forum where enthusiasts can:

-see thousands of different insects from all over the world
-purchase specimens for the collection or simply for decoration
-obtain equipment to maximize the enjoyment of your interest
-find out about society’s and organizations dedicated to Entomology
-find out about this growing industry in Canada
-be educated about these fascinating creatures
-enjoy the camaraderie and meet others with the same interest

WHEN? April 29, 2007

TIME? 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

WHERE? Right in the heart of Mississauga. St Johns Hall is located at 2185 Stavebank Road. Just west of Hurontario Street ( HWY #10 ). See directions from the 401, 403 or QEW. .

HOW MUCH? Admission is $5.00 for adults and $4.00 for children.

 FOOD? Available for purchase on site for very reasonable prices.

Important Information for those attending.

 Insect Fairs/Shows are entrenched institutions in all the major cities of Europe and also in Japan. In North America there are two established shows in California and the Montreal Insect show is now past its fifth year. This will be the second show for Ontario. The visitor will see many insect dealers offering a vast assortment of specimens from around the world. In order to transport your purchased specimens home safely many people bring their own transport boxes with them. This is strongly advised. Should you not have transport boxes, some of the equipment dealers sell these specifically for this purpose at very reasonable costs.

Right in the heart of Mississauga. Just west of HWY #10 ( Hurontario Street). FROM THE QEW: Exit on to HWY #10 ( Hurontario Street ) North, Travel North to Queensway. Turn West onto Queensway passing the Trillium Hospital. Turn South onto Stavebank. The entrance is just pass the first stop sign on the east side. FROM THE 401 and/or 403: Exit on to HWY #10 ( Hurontario Street ) South, Travel South to Queensway. Turn West onto Queensway passing the Trillium Hospital. Turn South onto Stavebank.
